[Review] Sades SA-928 Gaming Headset

The Good

The Sades SA-928 Gaming Headset looks slick, and feels lightweight. This headset shines when using it on your computer. It also does feel comfortable, even after long sessions of use. These also have noise-cancellation built-in, which is great. The mic itself works excellent.

The Bad

The sheer amount of cord that goes into making this gaming headset work on Xbox 360 is outrageous. It’s also fairly pricey, if you buy it with the adapter, which you need if you want to use it for a console. This headset also doesn’t have that premium feel. The plastic feels pretty cheap. The SA-928s are not adjustable either.  There is also no dedicated mute button, unless you buy the $25 set of extra cords. These are also a finger-print magnet, due to the overall glossiness of the gaming headset.

The Ugly

When using the headset on the Xbox 360, you can hear a buzzing noise. This noise is so bad, I was unable to send a coherent voice message. I also made sure the cords were all plugged in correctly, and did some further troubleshooting to make sure it wasn’t something I was doing.

Final Thoughts

I was happy to review this gaming headset because I needed a spare Xbox 360 headset. Unfortunately if you buy this to be an Xbox gaming headset, you will be sorry. At the hefty price of almost $60( the headset is $36, and the needed console cords are $24), you can buy a headset with way more value than this. I would recommend this headset to someone who is gaming via computer. It performs its best on your computer. For under $40 this headset provides value to your computer gaming setup. If you want to check out the Sades SA-928s, click that product link below.
