Up until today, Hopper, an app that helps you find cheaper flights AND the best time to buy airline tickets, was only for iOS. Now, it’s available on Android. I haven’t used it yet, but it looks like it might be quite handy for finding the right flights and good prices along with when to purchase. And, when I need a flight, I’ll be trying it out.
Just today, Hopper released a new version, which allows the user to book directly through the app. Until now, booking traffic was sent to third-party websites but, with the new “QuickTap Booking” service, Hopper claims that users will be able to book a flight in under ten seconds. This should increase chances of acquiring the best fare, considering that pricing changes happen fairly quickly.
Or course, this puts them into direct competition with the likes of Priceline, Kayak and others but, according to Hopper, their “Price Prediction” technology will save users up to forty percent on airfares. Users can also save their payment information and traveler profiles, speeding up the booking process. Other features include a “When to Fly” calendar that color codes the cheapest times to fly, “watch a trip” that monitors prices round the clock and notifies you if the prices are expected to fall or rise.

So, will you be trying Hopper. I believe that I will in the not-too-distant future.
