Bonfire night with Vodafone – A night of fireworks, bonfires, and not much else

A little over 2 weeks ago was Bonfire Night. For some, Bonfire Night is a night of fireworks, bonfires, and not much else. For others, they know how to take care of their Bonfire Night properly. Thanks to Vodafone UK and their handy guide for Bonfire Night, they’ve got you covered for next year or for New Year’s if you go fireworks mad.

Bonfire Night- To Watch

Sky Ladder: The Art of Cai Guo-Qiang

Netflix, the online streaming site, is making a number documentaries right now. This documentary is about a master pyrotechnics artist- Cai Guo-Qiang, and it is no exception to Netflix’s great track record of documentaries. It follows Cai as he strives to design the most incredible show of his career.

The Best Fireworks Displays in the World 2016

Some people decide not to put on their own fireworks shows, and some people have no firework displays near them. So what better than to have your own private fireworks display as an alternative in the comfort of your favourite armchair watching on your favourite telly? This YouTube clip allows you to do exactly that with some of the most stunning firework displays of the year.

Cosmos, A Spacetime Odyssey

Your local or private fireworks show is all well and good, but it can’t compare to the universe’s biggest firework displays. This big-budget, beautifully-made reboot of the late Carl Sagan’s Cosmos, follows Neil deGrasse Tyson on a journey around our galaxy and beyond, showing the biggest explosions in the universe- literally- for your viewing pleasure.

Sherlock, ‘The Empty Hearse’

Everyone has heard of the BBC’s televised version of the Sherlock Holmes story. This stunning series starring Benedict Cumberbatch, includes an episode packed with it’s own explosions. This may or may not be related to The Gunpowder Plot, but it certainly delivers a bang- pun intended!

Bonfire Night- To Listen

Fireworks, Playlist by Spotify

One of the biggest music streaming services- Spotify- has supplied it’s own podcast for fireworks. This playlist is multi-purpose and can be listened to anytime, but works well with fireworks celebrations.

Fireworks with Crowd Sounds

Pets around the world go crazy for fireworks, but in a negative way unlike us people. This soundtrack contains natural sounds that you can crank the volume up for, to disguise the fireworks noise for Snuffles. Clever, eh? What’s more since they’re natural sounds it’s almost as if you’re actually there!

Almost.

Bonfire Night- Apps

Fireworks Arcade

This free fireworks simulator allows you to be in control of your private little fireworks display on your iOS or Android device. Granted, it’s not the same, but maybe you could have a go at a private display for real next year?

Fireworks 2016

What’s better than a UK Amazon exclusively for fireworks? A lot of things in retrospect, but not if you’re putting on a fireworks display. This handy little app hooks you up with the major fireworks distributors, to create your perfect fireworks display. Unfortunately there is no instruction guide for the fireworks which would be handy, so stay safe and your fireworks display won’t go up in flames.

So there you are, your perfect Bonfire Night plan with puns for the night. What’s more this guide is multi-purpose so there’s New Year’s sorted for you.
