Since Saturday (09/20) it seems the Windows Phone Store is having some serious issues. Some users are reporting that apps cannot be downloaded or updated, while others say that most categories show up empty. The problems are widespread, being reported from various parts of the world, though other users seem not to be experiencing them. Others are reporting in-app purchase problems which, of course, affects developers and their income.
The latest update says that already purchased apps are requiring a re-purchse. No word from Microsoft as yet, though they are certainly aware of the problem. With the expected revealing of Windows 9 a matter of weeks or even days away, this could be an embarrassing marketing disaster for the Redmond tech giant.
Have any of you Windows phone users been experiencing the issues?
