Verizon Note 7 recall

Verizon Note 7 recall specific text message

The Note 7 recall is not new news at this point, but I thought I’d share a text message sent from them to me from earlier today. This text message came directly from Verizon, as they are the one’s who I ordered the Note 7 from. A little background info about my Note 7 is it is one which was pre-ordered the day the pre-orders went live. In particular is the Black Onyx.

Verizon Note 7 Recall Message

Verizon Note 7 recall

FREE VZW MSG: On September 2, 2016, Samsung announced a voluntary recall of the Galaxy Note7 in response to an issue with the device’s battery. Because customer safety is our top priority, Verizon has stopped selling the Galaxy Note7. Additionally, through September 30, 2016, Verizon is waiving the restocking fee. If you wish to return or exchange the device, please visit the store you purchased it from. When you return your Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and buy another smartphone you will get up to 25 off any accessory. Learn more at https://news.samsung.com/global/statement-on-galaxy-note7.

So Verizon seems to be fully cooperating with the recall requested by Samsung, along with giving $25 towards an accessory. My recommendation is to ensure the new stock of Note 7s arrive before exchanging for a new one. That’s what I’ll be doing. At this point, it’s safe than sorry situation for me personally, even though I know there’s a slim change of the battery blowing up.

Are you concerned with the chances of your Note 7 exploding? Are you swapping or returning for another device? Let us know in the comments!
