TUDIA offers their ARC Case for the Huawei Nexus 6P, which is a TPU material. TPU is actually a durable type of case because it adds shock absorption upon impact and displaces the energy away from the phone. The case also protects against bumps and scratches.
The ARC case feels soft to the touch with a matte (sort of) texture. The matte finish feel like a mix of normal plastic/TPU material with a matte finish. The edges and corners are rounded that allow the device to be pocketable. Being that is it only a TPU case it does not add much bulk at all. Actually it’s thinner than the Cruzerlite case I just reviewed.
The ARC has button covers on the power and volume controls. Fortunately, the buttons still feel somewhat tactile. Not all button covers feel tactile and if the buttons are hard to press I will not use the case. In this case, the button press well.
The cutouts are just right for access to the USB and headphone jack ports. All the mics have the appropriate holes, the fingerprint sensor is not blocked, and the camera isn’t bothered. Overall, the cutouts and buttons are functional.
This is a decent case for the Nexus 6P. There isn’t anything too special about it as far as looks and design. It is a standard case that gets the job done.
