Many companies put there devices on pre-order and also announce the release date for the given device. Count the pre-orders and announcements as a heads up to get your accessories ordered as well. Last thing you want to happen is damage to happen to the phone because it was unprotected. Usually some sort of case and screen protector will be available to buy even before the device is released to the public. If anything order a cheap case and screen protector from eBay/Amazon just to hold you over till the preferred accessory is available. Always be prepared.
