This has got to be one of the coolest cases I have put my hands on! Sure I have reviewed some amazing cases in the past, but none have a unique feature like the AmpJacket has. Kubxlab has developed a case that will increase your iDevice’s volume twice as much as if the case was not installed. Not only does it put out some maxed out volume, but it is protective as well. Cool sound with practical use. Best of all there are no extra power connections needed. All just straight up case tech!
First of all the case is made from a durable material that will protect the iPhone while jamming out to your favorite tunes. You never know when you’re gonna need bust out a move or two while holding your phone and you never know when the phone wants to take flying lessons. The case is raised above the screen, which will protect from landings on the screen or if you want to place the phone face down.
The hump might seem to add some extra bulk, but it is not as bad as it may seem. It actually contributes to a ergonomic design to fit comfortably in your hand. The curvature rests in the palm of the hand. Not too mention the hump will give that extra drop padding. There are only a few exposed areas on the case, but the only concern would be dust/dirt touching the iPhone’s surface. The back of the AmpJacket is designed so nothing will scratch against those exposed areas.
So what more about that hump? Well if you look at the case from the inside you will notice that is where the amplified sounds comes from. The hump channels the sounds output from the iPhone’s speaker and pushes it out a tunnel making the volume twice as loud than what the iPhone will normally put out.
It’s hard to put into words of the volume experience, so be sure to check out the video for a demonstration and then grab one for yourself. You won’t regret it.
