Huawei Fit – new fitness watch with style

Huawei Fit was just released yesterday and from first glance, it seems like its the best looking fitness tracker available. Most of the time fitness trackers look like a wristband with a digital display or a bracelet of some sort. While most smartwatches these days comes with fitness features, those can cost a bit more than a simple fitness tracker. Therefore sacrificing the look of wearing a real watch. Personally, one of the reasons I don’t wear a fitness tracker is because I don’t like how they look and everyone knows you are wearing one. Huawei brings the best of both worlds. It’s like a fitness tracker in smartwatch clothes.

Huawei Fit Thoughts

The Huawei fit is intriguing because it looks like a smartwatch, the battery life can last almost a week, and still get most notifications from a phone (phone calls and text messages). The Huawei Fit takes a minimalistic approach, yet functional for fitness needs while looking like a smartwatch. The cost isn’t too bad, which is $129. Another nice feature includes interchangeable wristbands.

If you’re in the market for a new fitness tracker, this is a nice option to consider. After reading some comments from other posts around the web stating the dislike it is not running Android Wear, I want to remind you this is not a smartwatch. Therefore, it is to be expected not to run smartwatch software. It’s simply a fitness tracker.

Personally, I love getting notifications from apps from my phone, so this would change the way I interact with my phone if I were to get this fitness tracker. For the most part, many smartwatches can do much of what a fitness tracker can do. However, smartwatches cost more and other than Pebbles, there’s no smartwatch that has this kind of battery life. With that said, you’ve got to weigh out what features are most important to you.

Is this something that interests you?
