There’s a ton of Google Pixel XL case choices to pick from, but there’s only a few that are go-to cases for any device. VRS Design is one of those few cases companies that offer great options each time. One of their new designs has become my daily driver case as of late. It’s the Simpli Mod. Keep reading to find out why I like this case so much.
Google Pixel XL Case Features
Ever since I got out of the manual labor type of jobs, I have gotten slimmer cases, which in turn are less protective. However, that doesn’t mean I want my devices not protected. Basically, I look for cases that offer protection against bumps, scratches, and most falls. Buttons and ports must accessible and no hindrance of functionality. The Simpli Mod case checks off all the boxes of requirements I look for in a case.
The Simpli Mod case is made of two materials that join together for a premium design. The back has PU Leather with poly-carbonate for the rest of the case. For the most part the entire edge is protected, other than the button areas. On the opposite side of the buttons is a cutout that seems to be there for more access to something, but there is nothing on that side. It’s simply for grip. I questioned whether or not if I like that opening, because part of me says it should just be closed off. But the opening allows you to hold the device securely.
Where To Improve
There isn’t too much to complain about with the Simpli Mod case. The only thing I have run across is the case seems to scuff up a little on the poly-carbonate. Something else I would like to have seen with this case is a kickstand. There is a spot that looks like there could have been a kickstand. VRS Design has placed a kickstand on other case models, but not this one.
Overall, this case is great and have enjoyed using it as my daily driver. I like the look and feel of it. I’ve tried to use a couple other case option I have around, but quickly came back to using this case. I definitely recommend giving this case a try.
