Google has released the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 “Google Editions” that will give you the Nexus experience. They are non contract phones you can purchase at the Play Store. But if you do not want one of the phones or is not available to you, but you want some of the features or apps…. you are in luck due to the stellar Android community, they release APK files for you to download.
Today you can download the Google Edition stock Android Camera app.
Installation is easy.
- Make sure you have “Unknown Sources” allowed
- Download the file from HERE
- Click Install
- Click either Done or Open
Easy as that.
Keep in mind that depending on the device you are using will depend if the new camera app with overwrite the your current app or if it will be a secondary app. In the case of my GS4 it is secondary, which is a good thing because you get to keep all the great camera features the GS4 offers.
