Analyst: Samsung’s Galaxy S III bests Apple’s iPhone 4S sales for the first time since it was released a year ago | 9to5Mac.

This report is not to my surprise. I came from the iPhone 4S and went to the Galaxy S3 before the cut of Verizon’s end of unlimited data plans. The Galaxy S3 was the first Android device that I did not have the urge to go back to the iPhone. Mind you that I have tried MANY Android device models including the Razr, Thunderbolt, Charge and Droid X2. I went back to the iPhone every time. Except for the GS3. In my opinion the GS3 is the first Android device that nailed it. The table has turned. If I were to go back to the iPhone, I believe  I would miss the Galaxy S3.

From my observations, I think the Galaxy S3 was set up for success because of Verizon’s ax to the unlimited data plans (with upgrades), making the phone available universally and the soon to be coming iPhone 5.

The next phase is to see how the new Android OS Update, aka Jelly Bean, will influence sales and to the see how the iPhone 5 impacts the Galaxy S3’s sales. Any predictions?
