Verizon is ready for hurricane season!

Hurricane season starts in June and Verizon is ready to take on any potential storms. I live in the southeast United States, grew up in Florida, and have had my fair share of storms throughout the years. Being prepared for natural disasters is an important part of life, especially if you live in an area prone to disasters. Verizon has made steps to keep people connected during a disaster.

Communication is vital in the event of a crisis. First responders, rescue teams, and the general public need to be able to communicate during a crisis. Verizon has mobile units that can withstand up to a cat5 storm! Take a look at the video of how Verizon prepares for the worst of the worst.

One of my brothers works for a company that provides emergency communication equipment and amongst what they provide is a mobile unit that reminds me of the semi-truck from Knight Rider. It’s good to know there are agencies out there who have this sort of capabilities to keep us safe.

While it’s great to have such services, we too have an obligation to be prepared. Verizon has helpful information about how we can prepare for crisis times. Click the link HERE.

Hopefully this information will help you stay safe and out of harms way. If harms way makes it to you, you’ll be more prepared the before. Do you have any additional tips?
