Right off the bat holding the case was a comfortable hold and still has a protective feel to it. I like the two layers of protection. This is probably one of the thinnest two layered protective case that I have put my hands on but still feels like it will withstand a decent drop. I always look for good corner protection when investing in a rugged case, this case passed the test. The kickstand is a nice feature for watching movies or using the phone as a desk clock. The black case in my opinion looks great with the all black iPhone 5.
The Active Holster is a durable case that offers a ratcheting clip that can be positioned in 7 different spots. It also has good corner protection and is a hard shell casing. The Active Holster will protect against any bumps while on the belt or whatever the Active Holster is attached to.
Take Note:
While this case offers many great features, there are a few things to take note of. First is the rubber is moveable where the hard shell is not touching on the sides. Which could mean that dirt, lint or dust could work its way in-between the case and the phone. The rubber is better than most silicone style cases which normally attract lint, but this rubber still attracts some lints and such. If the Active Case rubber material is a concern of yours check out the Surface Case (simular to the Galaxy S3 review) that Seidio offers. It is a hard case which slides on and does not have the moveable rubber like the Active Case.
Final Thoughts:
I would recommend this case for anyone that is looking for rugged style protection and wants it to look good too. The protection is really good with a thin profile. The added features like the kickstand and holster are plusses.
