Samsung will not take a Galaxy S8 for the Note 7 trade-in deal. Long story short, I want to order a Note 8. There is a deal where you can get up to $425 off the Note 8 when trading in a device. Surprisingly, the S8 is not an option.
Of the devices accepted, there are non on the list that I have on hand to be able to take advantage of the deal for the Note 7/Note 8 offer. You’d think Samsung would take a higher value device, the S8 over the S7. I’d be happy to send the S8 in exchange. But they won’t take it. Makes no sense at all.
Through the customer support chat I was told to contact customer support on the phone and see what they can do. I will update this post when I have new information.
