Moving Forward

Sometimes you gotta stop to move forward.

Nehemiah 7:1-4
There was so much to be done. We are all in a season. Could be the start, middle or to the end of a season.

How we navigate those seasons is what matters.

Are you going to continue to do the same things over and over or will you STOP.
Step back and look at where you are.

Nehemiah called time out. Even though there was a lot of work to be done. Even through resistance.

Take a time out.

God wants to move forward. Often times we need to pause. Selah means to pause and reflect.

We can become complacent. Keep doing the same things over and over and expect different outcomes.

We can live in burn out. More the ax is swung the more dull it gets. We have to be allowed to be sharpened.

Nehemiah 8:10
The joy of the Lord is your strength.
We need to learn to celebrate where we are. Right where you’re at.
There is something to celebrate. If we can’t learn to celebrate, maybe it’s the season that God wants us to learn a new perspective. Learn to be thankful for the little things. Things are a work in progress and not always immediate.

Nehemiah 9:1-3
Be honest with yourself.
Repentance always comes before a move of God.

Pride is the first step to being humiliated.

What am I going to keep and what am I going to get rid of?
