LG G6

If you have not seen the new leaks of the LG G6, you’re in for a treat. This is the first G Series from LG that I am very interested in. The phone looks great and is rumored to come with some features that might actually put LG back in the top competition. Some features that stand out to me includes mobile payment like Samsung Pay and waterproofing.

In my opinion, judging from the G Series in the past, LG needs to ditch it and stick with the V Series. The V10 and V20 have been great phones that trump the G Series easily. The design of the G6 looks a lot like the V20, so LG might be taking the G6 in a step in the right direction.

Super Bowl

The Super Bowl is right around the corner and this might be the year where we can start to watch the big game in a whole new way. There’s going to be a way to watch the game in VR! Fox Sports is offering a new app to watch the game in VR.

Updates

As mentioned above, software updates seemed to be a recurring theme throughout the week. From the Pixel getting the monthly security patch updates to Honor announcing the Honor 6X will be getting Android 7.0 Nougat in March. Verizon updated the Samsung S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+, and Note 5 with a new security patch. The Nexus 5X also received Swipe Notifications in the latest Android 7.1.2 update.

There ya go, some of the highlights of the week in the tech world. What other tech news would you like to mention? Let us know in the comments.
