Tis the season for shopping around for the latest deals for the holidays or perhaps just in the market for getting a new smartphone. Thoughts:
First of all, I am not quite sure this is called a phablet. In my book anything 5.5 inches or larger would be considered a phablet. Either way, this is phone that actually has quite a bit packed into it for only around $100. In all reality it’s pretty hard to find a new phone with a lot of features for around the same price point. The DOOGEE Y100 comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop! Many of the budget friendly phones and tablets are still stuck on Android 4.4.
The build quality stands out to me because it is made of a metal unibody. For such an inexpensive phone and it being metal, that impresses me!

I love the fact that it supports an SD card slot that can go up to 128GBs! That’s a lot of storage. It comes with 16GBs of internal storage. These days I don’t like to have less than 64GBs of storage no matter what the device is. I can live with 32GBs but 64GBs is my sweet-spot. The Y100 gives you the chance to add tons of music, movies, and games with having 128GBs of expanded storage.
FAST CHARGING! I was surprised to learn that the DOOGEE Y100 has fast charging support! Fast/quick charing has become one of the features I appreciate the most. Fast charing is very nice to have. Specifically the Y100 charges up the 2,200mAh battery to 70% in just 30 minutes!
Final Thoughts:
For only being around one hundred bucks I am impressed with all that it comes with. For the most part of my requirements are checked off with this phone, with keeping in mind it’s a budget friendly phone. One of the the things I also noticed is that many people have left a positive review. I think this phone is worth checking out.
