Cruzerlite Spi-Force Case in Black

All major mobile carriers on eBay powered by BBYMS

Here is another look at a Cruzerlite Spi-Force case. We have done a review on a green edition but this time around we have an all black to look at. None of the specs have changed from the last review, but I wanted to  give you guys a chance to see what a different color looks like on a device. Again this is for the iPhone 5, but there are other devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S3 or Note 2 to choose from.

Cruzerlite is a favorite among the Android community but they also like to cater to a few of the Apple products too. The Spi-Force case is available for the iPhone 5 and the Galaxy S3. There are many choices of colors for optimal customization. The case is made with a TPU inner skin and the outer shell is made of a polycarbonate material. The two layers adds great protection against drops, scrapes, bumps and scratches.

Some of the key features described from the Cruzerlite website are:

  • Shock absorbent
  • Made from TPU material and Polycarbonate
  • Sleek, lightweight design
  • Cutouts for all ports and buttons
  • Screen left exposed for full functionality
  • Easy to apply and remove
  • Anti-scratch material

Protection:

The Spi-Force Case has great protection against drops and everyday use. The materials used are designed to absorb impacts. The corners of the device are fully protected along with middle support on the sides. The outer shell gives that extra two layers of protection. The case is raised above the phone which allows the device to be placed on the face of the phone without worry of any damage against the screen and increases the survival of the screen if dropped on the frontside. The power and volume controls are fully covered.

Design:

The Spi-Force case is design for good grip while being pocketable. The buttons are easy to use and does not require extra effort to press. All ports are accessible with precise cutouts. The rugged ridges add a unique look and feel. The outer shell included a slim kickstand which can be used for desk clock or media viewing. The kickstand does now add a lot of bulk to the case. Overall the case is a thin profile with lots of protection.

Concerns:

When using a “L” shape headphone jack make sure the connection is good. I had to double check the fit a couple times. Its just not as easy as a straight jack. Some think heads on a headphone jack or audio cable jack will not fit in the headphone jack on the device. The vibration rocker at times requires a little more effort to reach but is not too bad. I have big hands, so can’t count this one against the design all the way. I do like the precise not big cutout for the vibration rocker.

Verdict:

I would recommend this case for anyone looking for a slim profile, rugged protection that is pocketable and has color options. I like the materials and the design of the case. This is a good case for on the job and home use.
