Changes to our social networks

Bane Tech has been my baby, I have been there from the beginning, and as time has gone by there have been changes here and there. Some of the changes that needed happen a long time ago includes how the social networks are managed. For the longest time Bane Tech has been perceived in a perspective of being part of my personality. As in “I am Bane Tech” versus a brand. The time has come for Bane Tech to stand on it’s own and let the reigns go a little bit. And let me tell ya it’s been freeing!

Last week I cut the chord between Bane Tech and Joshua Bane. From this point on Bane Tech social networks are exclusively Bane Tech related content. Meaning Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Google+ are Bane Tech’s networks. There are still some attachments to YouTube because of some the changes and transitions Google is making with how Google+ and YouTube are associated. Hopefully in the near future the channel will migrate to the Bane Tech Google+ Page. Until then the channel will remain with the url tag of +JoshuaBane.

I have been rather reluctant to make these changes, was unsure if I would take a big hit or not, but needed to think of the big picture. If you haven’t noticed there have been some additions to Team Bane Tech with new writers and contributors. At the time of this post there are nine team members and it just didn’t make sense to have a brand mixed in with myself, and for my guys to speak on my behalf. I would rather than represent Bane Tech than me. Although, they are still representing me in a way.

The sense of freedom I have experienced on the @JoshuaBane side has been refreshing. Prior to the changes I held back on what I posted on the social networks because the audience was build around the tech community and I didn’t want to overstep any boundaries. I wanted to give my audience respect for what/who they subscribed and followed. NOW I am free to post about anything on my @JoshuaBane profiles and gives people to follow both networks or just the one.

If you don’t know me by now I am passionate about many things and love to discuss various subjects. By having my own social networks we can carry on many conversations about tons of stuff like sports, movies, society, counseling, geeky, video games, and so much more. Personally, I want to make a difference in the world, I care about my nation, love my faith, and desire to help create healthy families. I am also beginning to post content about my new career as a Social Media Coordinator!

I’ve contemplated creating a new blog that concerns topics such as what I have mentioned in this paragraph. We shall see. I’ve got a lot going on and I don’t want to do anything half way. Let me know if you’re interested in me creating another blog.

Thanks for reading this ramble about what’s going on with our social networks. Although somewhat of an unorthodox post, I do believe it was important to do some explaining and it gives a little transparency. I want to always keep you the reader in the know.

With that all said be sure to follow the appropriate channels! And don’t forget to follow the team’s networks too! Add us and let’s hang out! Don’t forget to watch #BaneTechLive when we as a team get together and talk about all kinds fun tech!
