Something I take pride in is giving my audience fair, honest, and ethical reviews. I never want to lead someone intentionally down the wrong direction. It’s more than about my reputation as a reviewer. It’s about you the consumer. You deserve honest reviews about the products you are interested in investing in.
Recently, I opened an account with Fiverr.com as a seller offering services such as product reviews and advertising opportunities. Unfortunately, it has become a breeding ground for manufacturers asking for fake reviews. I made a video about the situation if you are interested in more about the problem.
Even since that video I have still received requests to publish fake reviews.
I have drawn the line.
I want you informed.
So here you go.
From this point I am going to post articles of products to beware of buying if you are basing your purchase off of reviews. I am not doing this to get anyone in trouble, but to simply let you the consumer know of what products to avoid because of unethical activity by the manufacturer. Not only will these buyers/manufacturers be called out in this website, but they will be reported to Amazon as well.
In this case you can see from the screenshot above that the buyer from Fiverr.com requested if I would like to publish “copy and paste” reviews. In other words, if you don’t understand, the buyer would supply the exact wording of what they have worked on for me to submit to Amazon reviews. Not only that! They wanted me to post multiple times fluffing up the product with fake reviews.
Again, I hope this is helpful to you the consumer. If you have become victim of trusting a review and it ended up being a bad product, let me know in the comments. If you are a reviewer I encourage you to publish honest and ethical reviews. The consumer needs trustworthy reviewers and reviews. Stay tuned for more call outs.
