The Amzer Hybrid Case for the iPhone 5 is made of a TPU skin and plastic Polycarbonate hard casing. The back of the case is a frost color which is the polycarbonate casing that protects the backside of the iPhone 5. The sides of the phone is protected by the TPU. The TPU and Polycarbonate protects against bumps and scratches. All buttons and ports are accessible because of the precise cutouts and covers.
The Amzer Hybrid Case has some features that I look for in a slim fit style of a case. Some of those features are the ability to slide in and out of a pocket with ease, all sides/corners are covered and the thin profile does not take away from the slim design of the iPhone 5. This case is slim enough to be able to fit in a sports armband. Because of the frost back, an idea is that you could place a photo in the back to give a little more customization.
The button covers however are my biggest complaint with this particular case. The button covers required extra effort than normal to press to adjust the volume and press the power control. To cope with the difficult button covers I suggest to use your finger nail to ease the effort of pressing the buttons on the iPhone 5.
The cutouts are a precise cut around the speakers, jacks and vibrate toggle. Although not tested personally, I believe that most docks and accessories would have no issue with fitting around the cutouts. There is no interference with the port areas and any cable should not be a problem. There is no need to remove the case to charge or plug the device in a desired accessory.
Overall this is a good slim, TPU, Polycarbonate case that fits the iPhone well and does not take away from the over all design of the iPhone 5. If you are in the market for purchasing a thin profile case for the iPhone 5 head over to Amzer.com and check out this case among other case styles, accessories and other device accessories.
I want to thank Amzer for letting me review their product.
