This morning as I was going through my normal routine of checking on my websites, accounts, etc. I was alarmed to discover that I was not able to access my Amazon account. I would get a message saying, “We cannot find an account with that email address.” This was so odd to me because just last night I placed a couple orders and got confirmations even this morning about the status. Not only am I upset about my account being deleted, I also have affiliate marketing with Amazon.
Looks like I am not the only one.
Out of curiosity, I made a post on Twitter and Facebook about the issue and people started saying their accounts were also affected. One person said their account was reinstated and another mentioned they violated Amazon policy, but no explanation.
So my Amazon account was deleted without warning or notice. Now I have to wait for that department to get back to about what happened and can take up to 48hours (business days)… #thissucks

In addition, I reached out to Amazon via email and phone call. While on the phone the rep wasn’t able to do anything for me other than escalate the issue to the appropriate department but can take up to 2 business days. And just my luck, it’s a holiday weekend. SO now I have to wait and hope for the best.
I don’t understand why one of the largest companies in the world could not help me any more than what I experienced today on the phone. There should be some sort of paper trail of why my account was deleted, Amazon to reinstate my account, or tell me if it was a glitch. Granted I am not making a ton off of Amazon affiliate’s program, but there is always the chance of making a good sale or two from the thousands of links that are out there.
I am VERY interested if I violated any conditions, if it’s a glitch, or whatever it could be.
Has your account been deleted?
