ZUS The Truly Smart Car Charger & Car Locator: Review

In the box, you get the device beautifully presented on top, and then you also receive a little manual inside which tells you how to use the product if you do not know how to. When I first took the product out of the packaging all I could think of was the build quality, it is made from German bayer material which is strong but light and also the cool feeling from the titanium coated top was pleasing.

The ZUS is Military Grade Tested which means that it is the only smart car charger to meet US Military MIL-STD 810G High Temperature Standards. While I don’t drive just yet I gave this product to my dad repackaged and all. He said ‘setup was simple and easy even for a novice’ and also said that he was ‘I was up and running within a couple of minutes’ which he loved as he could start using the product straight away.

He also said ‘I liked the stylish simplicity of the car charger as it isn’t big and bulky which some of the other dual USB car chargers are’ I also agree with him because some of the other USB car charger which I have used are quite bulky, as well as the cheap built quality do not go together well.

It features 2X charging speed of regular car charger at a max output of 4.8A which is really good actually because we have charged my Nexus 6 and my dad’s Nexus 5X fully, from around 5% each to 100% in just under 2 hours which I found really convenient because other car chargers take drastically longer even though they say they deliver a faster charge.

‘I like the car location feature as it helps me in the dark after I finished work.’ This is what my dad said about the car finder feature which works great for him. There is one downside which my dad told me about and that the way the device connects to your phone is Bluetooth and although it is low energy Bluetooth if it connected all day then it reduces battery life which is one of the things that he noticed when he was testing the product over a two-week period. I think that if there was a way to track the device through the app with GPS or something like this then it wouldn’t have an impact on the phone battery life. This is because you would only turn it on when you need to track the car.

I think that they ZUS is a great product as it delivers multiple functions in a single device without breaking the bank. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family as is unique and way better than the competition.
