“You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive in Christ, for he forgave all our sins.” Colossians 2:13
I was inspired to draw something that represented how we are dead without Christ, but with him we are made alive. That’s a refreshing thought and makes me want to keep going. The Lord is not exhausting. He is made for us to be able to rest in him. Picture yourself as this tree that once was dead. But with the refreshment from the sun, water and fresh air we are made alive and strong. I can feel the warmth of him as the summer rays brush against the branches and leaves. I feel the water strengthening my roots and the air as a breath of life filling my branches.
A neat thing about the branches is it lets us know the wind is there. Just as we are make alive in Christ the Holy Spirit blows and we catch the wind (the Holy Spirit) letting the world know he is among us.
*Side note. This drawing was created using the Sketch Book from the Galaxy Note 3. I’m thankful I have an Avenue to express through art work. Its been a while since I have felt inspired to draw and follow through with actually drawing something. I love it when tech is used for the Christian advantage.
