This is the Amzer Shellster Case for the iPhone 5. If you are familiar with Amzer products the Shellster is a line of cases made for a variety of devices such as the iPhone 4/4S and the Galaxy S3. The material is made from high quality polycarbonate with a rubber finish which leaves you with protection from bumps, scratches and normal wear and tear.
The Shellster Case for the iPhone 5 is made to be durable. The polycarbonate material is somewhat flexible but remains to assure that it will not break under a decent amount of stress. I like the snap in feature of this particular case. Amzer has built a locking snap on design that gives you the confidence that the case will not fall off or have a loose fit. The fit is very snug and is a thin profile case which does not take away from the elegant design of the iPhone 5.
The holster is a nice compliment to the Shellster case. The holster adds an extra layer of protection, has a felt pad for the screen to rest on and a built in kickstand on the clip. The fit is a tight and secure.
A couple things to make note of is the top and bottom of the iPhone 5 is left exposed. However the case edges come out a tad bit past the frame of the iPhone 5 and gives some drop/bump protection. The Apple logo is exposed and I would suggest getting a back screen protector.
Overall this is a great case with some cool features. I would recommend this case for anyone looking for a slim and protective case that includes a kickstand/holster clip. The case is easy to slide in and out of a pocket. Be sure to check out Amzer’s full line up of accessories for the iPhone 5.
