Verizon, a leader in the wireless industry did not bid on the 600MHz spectrum. They have no interest in it, at all. However, T-Mobile bought 8 billion bucks of the 600MHz spectrum. Why did Verizon not bid? Why is T-Mobile snagging it up?

In a nutshell, Verizon’s 4G LTE network covers all the bases of spectrums needed for a quality network. In my experience with carrier’s cell service, Verizon has been the best. Currently, my main line is on AT&T and have only been on the network for less than a month. Long story short, Verizon’s quality is a lot better.
Interestingly, I am using Simple Mobile for another phone line for a test I am currently doing, which runs on T-Mobile’s network, and it has worked better than AT&T. All that said, Verizon still has been a great quality service in terms of cell signal and service. HD call quality, always having signal, and speed has been great with Verizon compared to other networks in my experience.
Verizon’s work has paid off, they continue to work on the next step, and that next step is 5G. Acquiring 600MHz would have been a step backwards for Verizon. T-Mobile does need it though. Their coverage is getting better, but they still need a spectrum to penetrate through structures, which is 600MHz.
