Top 3 Bluetooth game controllers for Android

Following on from last week’s post about the top apps for VR (Virtual Reality) I have composed a list of Bluetooth game controllers which are compatible for Android for you.

Top 3 Bluetooth game controllers for Android

1. SteelSeries Free
This is the best (in my opinion) in terms of value and portability for Bluetooth gaming controller. It’s great because it has cross platform compatibility with the Samsung Gear VR, Smart Phones, Tablets, and PC’s. One really neat feature about this game controller is if you download the SteelSeries app you can remap all the 12 buttons on the controller to make a custom controller for your needs. It has an LED indicator for pairing and battery status. It has a rechargeable battery which last around 10hrs, and it can be used from up to 30-feet away from the device.

2. SteelSeries Stratus XL
The Stratus XL is the bigger brother to the SteelSeries Free, as it is bigger in every way. It possesses bigger joysticks and a D-pad in an Xbox one controller shaped body. One unique thing about this which sets it part from the other gaming controllers including the Free is that it has a back, home and multitasking button in the middle of the controller. This makes it easy to navigate around your Android device, instead of having to reach for the device and tap the screen.

3. MOGA Pro Power
This is similar to the Stratus XL but one thing that makes it different is the built in smart phone holder. It is compatible across platforms but it is more aimed at mobile gaming specifically with your smartphone as it has a holder which is adjustable for just about any phone from and iPhone 4 to a Nexus 6P. But not only that it includes a micro USB charging cable for your Android device, a ‘MOGA Boost’ charging cable for the controller and tablet stand as well. Another neat feature that it has is a rechargeable 2200mAh battery which you can use you charge up your smartphone! It’s Amazing!

I have been looking more into mobile gaming because I don’t think I take advantage of my phones capabilities enough. I will be getting one of these and I would definitely recommend the MOGA Pro Power just reading the specifications.
