Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra and XZ Premium have interesting specs

Sony has given a couple new phone models this year, the Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra and Sony XZ Premium, both of which might be something you may want to take a look at. The two are made for a couple different audiences though. So let’s take a little look at each phone to see who these devices would play nice with and what makes them standout from other phones.

The Sony Xperia XA1 Utlra comes with some good specs for a low-cost price, which makes this phone a contender for matching up with other budget level devices. The Xperia XA1 Ultra is set at $399 and is a Best Buy exclusive.

The main attractions of the Xperia XA1 Ultra includes the display and camera. The screen is whopping 6 inches that is edge-to-edge (from left to right)! There’s some bezel space on the top and bottom, but honestly that’s fine with me as it help you hold the device in landscape for watching videos, etc. This viewing experience is also in FHD.

The camera is another main feature Sony likes to boast about with this phone. It’s got a large 23MP rear facing camera and a 16MP front facing camera. Sony has added a Smart Selfie Flash for all those, well…selfies. It nice to see Sony take notice that many people use their front camera just as much, if not more than the rear camera.

Other Specs

  • MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core processor
  • 4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB eMMC internal memory and microSDXC support (up to 256GB)

The XZ Premium is a whole-nother beast. This thing has a 5.5″ HDR 4k display and takes SUPER slow-mo videos. It’s really got some unique specs compared to other phones. It’s the first in it’s class to have a 4k HDR display for starters and let’s you watch 4k videos! Another standout feature is the Motion Eye camera system.

As you can see there are some great creative opportunities the 19MP camera can provide. There’s some cool footage you can check out by clicking HERE and find the video on the description of the phone. The front camera is 13MP, which is higher than many other phones out there.

The Xperia XZ Premium is priced at $799.

Other Specs

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor
  • 4GB RAM; 64GB internal storage (expandable memory up to 256GB and dual SIM capability)
  • Enjoy Playstation games on the Xperia XZ Premium
