Motorola announced on Twitter that the Moto X Pure Edition will be available beginning September 3rd, 2015. Motorola will be in contention with the release of the Note 5, S6 Edge Plus, iPhone 6s/6s Plus, and the OnePlus 2. All of these devices have potential to be the best phone of the year and it’s getting to the point where they will be available to purchase soon.
Specifically, I am most excited about the Moto X Pure Edition for a number of reasons. Some of those reasons include the bigger 5.7″ screen, front facing speakers, SD card slot, available on any network, and hopefully a better camera. The camera is my only concern because of the track record Motorola has held in the past, which is just a mediocre camera. If the camera is on point, the phone could easily be dubbed the best smartphone of the year.
I’ve already made plans to get the Moto X Pure Edition as soon as it’s available and will be replacing my LG G4 as my daily driver device. I’m excited and pumped to get this device and I sincerely hope this phone wins over my techie heart.
