Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro Overview

Blackmagic Design’s ATEM Mini Pro switchers fully equip camera productions for live streaming to YouTube and innovative business presentations using Skype or Zoom! Simply connect ATEM Mini Pro and you can switch live between 4 high-quality video camera inputs for dramatically better quality images. Or connect a computer for PowerPoint slides or gaming consoles. (Description via Adorama).

How I Plan To Use the ATEM Mini Pro

I’ve been using Ecamm for a few weeks now and it too has software switchers. Ecamm allows you to connect multiple cameras use them for a recording. The problem is attaching so many sources to a computer causes the computer to overwork itself. The ATEM Mini Pro will help reduce the stress on my computer. It will also allow better management of my cameras.

Ecamm recognizes the ATEM Mini Pro as a webcam and works seamlessly together.

I plan to use the ATEM Mini Pro for weddings, graduations, and various other remote broadcasting environments.

Where To Buy?

Like much live streaming gear, the ATEM Mini Pro is no exception. It’s hard to find at the retail price. We were able to buy this unit from a local dealer. There are some online but are either out of stock most of the time or price gouged. I was able to catch wind of one of the units we bought from a Blackmagic Facebook group. So keep an eye out for em or pre-order from Adorama.
